The Orchid Blossom Garden Society was originally started as the Willow Creek Garden Society, where upstanding members of Willow Creek would meet to discuss the city project of creating the Magnolia Blossom Park that we know and love today. As the society continued to expand and involve themselves in different public works, it was renamed the Orchid Blossom Garden Society, out of deference to the founder of the society, Iris Blossom, who had a love of growing orchids.

Today, the Orchid Blossom Garden Society maintains the Orchid Blossom House, donated to the society to educate others about Willow Creek's history, as well as the attached greenhouse. The society also maintains a facility that maintains and preserves different records and artifacts of Willow Creek, which is open to the public.
