About Us
The Orchid Blossom Garden Society is a non-profit historical society, based in Willow Creek. Our goal is to preserve the history of our township, by maintaining the Orchid Blossom House Museum for the public. The Garden Society maintains the Greenhouse of the Blossom home. We also have a facility for the care and storage of various records and artifacts of Willow Creek and her residents, assessible to the public.
Our History.
The Orchid Blossom Garden Society was originally started as the Willow Creek Garden Society, where the citizens of our township met to discuss the beautification project of 1834. The project resulted in the magnificent Magnolia Blossom Park that we know and love today. The name changed after the donation of the Orchid Blossom House to the society, as to honor the founder of the society, Iris Blossom.
Today, the Orchid Blossom Garden Society meets regularly at the Orchid Blossom House Museum, working to educate and preserve Willow Creek's History. Our society maintains the gardens and greenhouse of the Orchid Blossom House. We sponser various educational and preservation efforts and projects that work to enrich Willow Creek. We also volunteer and partner with various charities and other non-profits.
Our Goals.
The Orchid Blossom Garden Society has a robust set of goals, ranging from the maintence of the Orchid Blossom House Museum to preserving the records and artifacts of Historic Willow Creek. Within the greenhouse of the house musuem, we also work to maintain the heirloom varieties of orchids- originally a gift from Bertram Blossom to his wife, Iris Blossom.

We are continously are striving for the enrichment of Willow Creek, by sponsering different maintence or rebuilding projects throughout the town.
